APEX, N.C. — Seventy years ago today, the greatest seaborne invasion in military history was underway.

The heart of D-Day was the assault of 24,000 American, British and Canadian soldiers on the beaches of Normandy, and very few are left to tell their story.

In this edition of the Buckley Report, an Apex man who was there on June 6, 1944. He has a mission to tell not so much his own story, but the story of those who can no longer tell theirs.
