TAYLORS, S.C. (WHNS) — Deputies said woman a reported being held inside a Taylors home for two days against her will but was able to escape with her young child on Friday, running to a neighbor’s home for safety.
Greenville County deputies said around 9:15 a.m. the woman called 911 saying she had been locked inside a home for two days on Bridge Road.
She told police she had been assaulted repeatedly during that time.
Deputies said the woman waited until the suspect, 23-year-old Justin Anderson, was asleep and escaped through a window with her 3-year-old child and ran to a neighbor’s home to call 911.
When deputies arrived they said they found the woman with injuries to her face, head and neck.
She was taken to the hospital to be treated for the injuries.
Lt. Ty Miller said Anderson was taken into custody and charged with kidnapping, attempted murder, criminal domestic violence or a high and aggravated nature and pointing and presenting a firearm.
Miller said more charges could be filed.
