3 arrested for drug trafficking in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police have arrested three men in connection with numerous drug violations following an investigation at the Red Carpet Inn in Burlington early Friday morning.

Officers conducted a drug investigation at 978 Plantation Drive shortly after midnight and seized 28.7 grams of MDMA, 103 plastic capsules and 11.9 grams of marijuana.

Kaya Abner Donnell-Rowe, 22, of Greensboro, was charged with trafficking MDMA, possession of schedule I with intent to sell/deliver, two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. Donnell-Rowe was also wanted in Guilford County and was served warrants for eight counts of failure to appear on felony drug charges, four counts of felony probation violations, failure to appear for a misdemeanor charge and one criminal summons. He was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $220,000 secured bond.

Thomas Adary Hines Jr., 22, of Burlington, was charged with trafficking MDMA, possession of schedule I with intent to sell/deliver and possession of marijuana. He was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

Devonta Tyrone Donnell, 21, of Burlington, was charged with trafficking MDMA. He was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

Court dates have not been released for the three men.
