Showers are expected during the afternoon and early evening and rain chances are around 60 percent.
While there may be a few thunderstorms, the strongest storms will likely be closer to the coastal plain.
Temperatures will be steady, if not gradually decreasing through the afternoon to the mid-70s. Total rainfall for the day will be near 1/4-inch.
Showers will taper off overnight, but clouds remain in place. This will hold our temperatures in the mid-60s through daybreak.
The cold front stalls out over South Carolina overnight, and this keeps us cloudy with a chance of showers through the day on Friday. Shower chances will drop slightly, to 40 percent, and temperatures will stay in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
Our humidity will drop over the weekend, and though temperatures are going to remain in the lower 80s, it will feel crisp and comfortable.
