Free dental clinic this weekend in Rockingham Co.

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A free dental clinic will be held this weekend in Rockingham County.

The clinic, which will help people on a first come — first serve basis, starts at 6 a.m.

The clinic will be held both Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31, at Rockingham County Community College in Wentworth.

Since 2003, the Mission of Mercy organization has helped almost 45,000 people in North Carolina by providing $19 million worth of free dental work.

    No one writes you have to get a ticket the night before to enter…..that’s not a first come first service, my nieces had been in a bad car wreck knocked part of her teeth out and in need of repair, she could not afford to have them fixed and is only 26 yrs old when this free offer came up she was so excited to maybe have some of it fixed, after showing up they said you had to get tickets last night. That sure doesn’t sound like a first come first service basics to me.

    I have been to these in Greensboro, NC and also have helped out with a sister at one of these events. These particular events were free but there was a long line wait. They helped everyone they could. I can’t give enough praise and good words to all the dentists and hygienists that are willing to give freely of their time and talents to help those who are less fortunate. I hope your niece will be able to take advantage of this if it comes to your area again.
