Cult movie producer bringing film screening to Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Lloyd Kaufman, a cult movie producer/director, is bringing his latest film to Greensboro for an exclusive screening at Geeksboro Coffeehouse Cinema, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Kaufman’s Troma Entertainment production and distribution company is known for outrageous films that blend horror, gross-out gags, social satire and campy comedy, with such titles as “The Toxic Avenger,” “Class of Nuke ‘Em High,” “Surf Nazis Must Die” and “Redneck Zombies.”

His latest directingl effort is “Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1,” the first installment in a two-part sequel to one of his most popular films. Kaufman will be on hand to introduce the movie, which is making its North Carolina premiere, host a Q&A session after the screening, and sell exclusive merchandise.

The screening will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Geeksboro, 2134 Lawndale Drive in Greensboro. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the cinema’s café or online at www.Geeksboro.com.
