Burlington officer replaces 10-year-old’s stolen bike

burlingtonALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A 10-year-old is ecstatic after a police officer replaced his bike after it was stolen two months ago in Burlington.

Josiah, 10, was getting his hair cut at a barber shop on Ross Street when his BMX bike was stolen from outside, forcing him to walk home.

Weeks later, Officer Johnson with the Burlington Police Department delivered a new bike to Josiah.

It’s something Josiah will never forget.

I hope he’ll have a lock for that new bike. Cudos to officer Johnson for a job well done. There are so many stories about police officers who are involved in bad situations that it is nice when the good stories are reported. :)
