WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — High Point based hotel developer BPR Properties will build a 108-room, $12 million hotel on Hanes Mall Boulevard in Winston-Salem next year, according to the Triad Business Journal.

The four-story Residence Inn by Marriott hotel will be the “first major component” of a planned 22-acre development along Hanes Mall Boulevard south of Interstate 40 and the Interstate 40 Business Loop, according to the report. That project is planned by Wesley Walls, former tight end for the Carolina Panthers.

The project is slated to reach 150,000 square-feet of retail by late 2015.

The hotel will sit on 3.53 acres and will be built by Patel Construction Group, the in-house contractor of BPR Properties.
