Suspect sought for armed robbery of 2 in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for a man in connection with the armed robbery of two people Monday evening.

Officers responded to a reported robbery from two victims in the parking lot of Food Rite, located at 3000 E. Market St., around 7:15 p.m.

The victims had reportedly gotten into a verbal argument with the suspect. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a handgun and took personal property from the victims before fleeing on foot.

The victims attempted to pursue the suspect in a vehicle, at which time the suspect fired several shots at their vehicle. One of the bullets struck their vehicle. The victims then ceased their pursuit of the suspect and awaited police arrival.

No one was injured in the incident.

Officers have identified the suspect as 26-year-old Oliver Cromwell Jamison Jr.

Jamison is being sought on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and injury to personal property.
