UPDATE: Arrest made in connection with graffiti vandalism in downtown High Point


HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police have made an arrest in connection with the graffiti on a building in downtown High Point/

Graffiti was found Monday morning outside of the Showplace West building on Main Street.

Around 7:15 a.m., officers observed a man acting “strangely.” He was jumping in front of cars and yelling “nonsensical things” at drivers.

Police charged him with disorderly conduct and he was placed in jail.

Later, when police received reports of graffiti, they found evidence on the man’s hands that linked him to the graffiti.

Police said some of the graffiti referenced Honduras. The suspect is from Honduras.

Police also found graffiti at 100 S. Main St. and 130 S. Main St.

Police did not provide the suspect’s name.

No other information was made available.
