Minor arrested in suspected arson at NC foster home
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities said a minor was arrested in connection to a fire at a foster home that injured three firefighters and displaced six people.
WBTV reported that it happened around 2 a.m. Sunday at 8233 Four Sisters Lane in Charlotte.
Officials said one firefighter was burned and two others have minor injuries. One floor of the home was completely engulfed in flames, according to officials.
Arson is suspected to be the cause of the fire. Police have not released the name of the suspect, who is charged with first degree arson.
An estimated $200,000 worth of damage was reported. The Red Cross is reportedly is assisting four adults and two children who were living in the home.
