WESTMINSTER, S.C. — After a week of being trapped, a pipe was removed from a dog’s head Monday.

According to Fox Carolina, the dog was unable to at or drink easily with a metal pipe stuck on its head.

“Piper” is a feral dog that has been seen roaming the area for a week.

Volunteers with Upstate Animal Rescue Foundation, local veterinarians and animal control officers worked for days to capture Piper, who is afraid of people.

Oconee County Animal Control officers confirmed Monday that Piper was seen without the pipe on his head.

A spokesperson for animal control said they have gathered additional supplies to help catch Piper, neuter him and get him updated with shots before letting a resident in the area adopt him.

It is not known how the pipe was removed from his head.
