Police investigate fatal crash involving moped and Jeep

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police said the driver of a moped died after crashing with a Jeep Cherokee Friday night in Greensboro.

Police said it happened around 11:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Lee Street. The victim has not been identified.

The driver was taken to Moses Cone Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries, according to police. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details were immediately available.
