NC stepfather charged in shooting that injured him and his stepson

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham stepfather has been charged in connection with a shooting Friday that sent him and his stepson to the hospital.

Durham police told WTVD-TV that 28-year-old Christopher Graham faces several charges, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Graham and his 6-year-old stepson were shot around 5:05 a.m. at their home, according to police.

Investigators said they are still trying to determine the specific circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Graham was treated for a gunshot wound to his foot. His stepson suffered serious injuries but the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.
