CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A protective order against Greg Hardy was dismissed Thursday afternoon after his girlfriend failed to show up in court.
The accuser’s attorney also withdrew from the case, according to WSOC.
The Carolina Panthers’ defensive end was charged with assault on a female and communicating threats.
Hardy was released from jail Wednesday on a $17,000 bond.
The arrest warrant accuses Hardy of “grabbing victim and throwing her to the floor, throwing into a bathtub, slamming her against a futon, and strangling her.”
Hardy’s attorney said the woman caused the problems in the domestic incident, citing that she would not leave his apartment.
Both Hardy and the victim were intoxicated at the time of the incident.

What a joke…pays to have money I guess. Hopefully some coalition for woman will get involved and ban this NFL thug. Nobody should get away with beating up a woman – especially when your a big guy who could squash that tiny woman. You deserve to be locked up awhile doofus and pay for what you did.

Anybody who shows up to a serious legal offense in a tank top is a joke and thinks its no big deal. The judge should make this toolbag realize he isnt made of steel and lock him up for assault and battery for a few months.

That is a picture from him leaving after posting bail, not leaving court.
