WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man is in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in critical condition after being struck by a motorist early Saturday while he was in the roadway in the 3800 block of South Main Street.

A Winston-Salem police report said Tyrone Lomont Davis, 30, is listed with having serious injuries. Davis lives in the 1700 block of Heitman Court.

A 31-year-old man was driving northbound at 3800 S. Main St. at 2:49 a.m. when his 2004 Honda Pilot struck Davis, according to the report.

Police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the incident. Police have not issued charges in the case, but an investigation is continuing.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding the incident contact Crimestoppers at 336-727-2800.
