Protecting yourself from the next big cyber threat

HIGH POINT, N.C. — It has been one month since the discovery of the Heartbleed Bug; a major flaw in Internet security that went undetected for more than two years and put passwords, credit card numbers and other sensitive information at risk of being stolen.

A patch has since been issued but it’s up to affected websites to correct the flaw. So are you any safer now than one month ago?

FOX8’s Michael Spears speaks with a High Point University professor to find out what, if anything, can be done to protect yourself.

  • Dissapointing.

Wow. I was hoping for something of merit…but..Definitely a stirring article with an in depth look at a dopey woman in a coffee shop. Way to go. No actual good advice was given here. Are you guys serious? I hope you’re not serious. C+ reporting, Michael Spears.
