2 arrested in Winston-Salem for drug, weapons violations

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police have arrested two men in connection with drug and weapons violations.

Officers responded to a reported break-in in the 300 block of Crafton Street shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, officers determined that Bryan McGee, 19, and Ryan Brooks, 20, both of Winston-Salem, had their apartment on Crafton Street broken into.

McGee and Brooks allegedly confronted an employee of the apartment complex with a pistol and accused him of being involved with breaking into their apartment. Both men were subsequently arrested.

During a search of the two men’s apartment, officers located several items of drug paraphernalia indicating illegal drug sales, along with a semi-auto pistol and AR-15 rifle.

McGee was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell/deliver, maintaining a drug dwelling for the sale of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and going armed to the terror of the public.

Brooks was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell/deliver, maintaining a drug dwelling for the sale of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both men were issued $2,500 unsecured bonds.

An investigation into the break-in is ongoing.
