Watch Kevin Durant’s emotional MVP acceptance speech

Kevin Durant received 119 of 125 first-place votes to beat LeBron James and win his first NBA MVP trophy this season.

Durant accepted the trophy Tuesday and fought back tears as he thanked his teammates individually.

Durant also took time to thank his mother, who got a standing ovation from the crowd after her son said that she was “the real MVP.”

King James should have won MVP. The votes are stacked against the strongest player! Just like when they gave D.Rose the MVP IN 011.It takes talent to win 3 ring’s! Lebron should be MVP!

Disagree. Jester James should not have won. Durant deserved the award. And kudos to him for putting his mother on the pedestal. A very touching acceptance speech, indeed.
