GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police have arrested a woman in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred at the Elms Apartments Monday afternoon.

Shasawanna Sheleka Harris, 35, of Greensboro, was arrested in connection with the death of Mylvin Vincent Brown Jr., 31, of Greensboro.

Officers responded to 3307 N. Elm St. shortly after 1 p.m. after a resident called police saying a neighbor came to their door covered in blood and collapsed.

When police arrived, they saw that the victim was suffering from a wound to the neck.

Brown was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Harris, who police say is an acquaintance of Brown’s, is charged with voluntary manslaughter.

She is in the Greensboro Jail Central under a $250,000 secured bond.

A motive for the stabbing remains unclear.
