FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Sheriff Bill Schatzman will again serve as sheriff of Forsyth County.

“I think the voters understood that we provide them with a good service, a good product,” said Schatzman with supporters at Paul’s Fine Italian Dining. “I’m proud to be on that team, a proven team that has a good record and I think the results of the election show that.”

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Schatzman defeated his two opponents with 10,028 votes.

“We tried to do the very best we could,” said challenger David Griffith, who came in second with 7,712 votes. “We stayed focus on what we are going to do for the people of Forsyth County rather that what’s been done. They deserve a sheriff that is engaged and approachable.”

Since there are no Democratic challengers, Schatzman will run unopposed in the Nov. 4 General Election.
