Crews respond to multi-alarm fire in Asheboro

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Crews are responding to a multi-alarm fire at a duplex in Asheboro.

Crews are on the scene of fire at Kingsglen Apartments at 1129 S. Cox Street in Asheboro.

Two tenants who lived on the back side of the residence were home and asked to leave the burning building. No one was injured in the fire.

Crews said the call came in around 1:30 p.m. The fire apparently started in a downstairs unit when a stove was left on. The resident of the unit where the fire started was not home.

At this point, the fire is still under investigation.

There are four units at the complex.
