“Preliminary indications are that this is not a random act of violence.”

So was it an act of violence by someone who knew and targeted him or an accident?

JethRO, Jethro Bodink, Jesus, ohmy or whatever you choose to call yourself today, we know that is you. It really bothers you that I have an education and you don’t. Why else would you post such a ridiculous remark? I know posting under my name makes you feel powerful. Really we all think you are pitiful.

They should have just given her an inmate number at birth instead. Hope you enjoy the prison food. Bye….

I have a feeling she was protecting herself. I’m willing to bet that will be the case.

All these racist remarks show how truly desensitized our society has become to crime. These are people!! How dare you bring in your racist comments on someones name. Get yourself together people and have a little compassion, this was someones son, brother, or maybe father. So is she!!

At the end of the day a man is dead..A fatal stab wound to the neck is not self defense it’s Murder…There’s two sides to every story and she’s still here to tell her’s…No one’s grieving for her lost unlike his mother, sisters, brothers children etc…and for folks to get online and posts such ignorance is sad…. Yes she may have a family also but when you make bad decesions you pay for them..

@ Sickntired…How can you say a knife wound to the neck isn’t self defense? I don’t think you were there to say such a statement. Yes it’s sad that anyone should lose their life and it’s also sad that someone had to, or thought they had to take a life. And who’s to say she made a bad decision…maybe her life was being threaten and she made a good decision. At this moment we don’t know what happen. One thing for sure is one person lost their life and the other life will never be the same.

    FOX8,

You removed my comment with no justification so from this day forward, I am done with your website. As of 2 minutes ago, I also removed your channel from my cable lineup. You lost my patronage and your advertisers lost as well. Congrats!

    Goodbye…

Well Stretch that’s my nephew you are talking. He is no longer here because he turned his back to her. Yea she was really protecting herself. He is not the type to argue. Much less attack a manly looking woman like her when he is only 5’3″ and 120 pounds. Instead of arguing he turned .and walked away from her and she snapped. Voluntary manslaughter, she should be charged with murder. R.I.P. Lil Nephew

Sorry for your loss Peace and Blessings to you and your family. I didn’t mean to come off like I knew what happen, I was only given my suggesting to others that we didn’t know all the details and casting judgement with out knowing wouldn’t be right. If what you’re saying is true she should NOT be charged with manslaughter, but 1st degree murder would be suffice. Again sorry for your loss and I’m wishing you and your family members the best.

To everyone that has lost someone dear: whether Mel was your father, brother, son, uncle, neighbor, best friend, boyfriend, child’s father etc… First off let me say Im sorry. No one deserves to die the result of an inflicted tragedy. Mel was a nice person. I only knew of him because my child’s father lived in the adjacent building. Mel did not appear to be violent, he was a small quiet guy- but who is to say what happened. I just know his life was taken prematurely and pray for people that are grieving his loss as well as for the accused lady in jail I’m praying that justice prevails whether ahes innocent or guilty. Such a sad incident.
