2 sought for armed robbery of person in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are investigating the armed robbery of a person on Monday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of South Mebane Street around 3:45 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, the victim told officers they were sitting on steps outside of a residence when they were approached by two suspects.

One of the suspects allegedly produced a knife and demanded property from the victim. The victim complied and the other suspect took several items from the victim.

The suspects fled the scene towards the thin wood line that separates the Trails Inn Apartments from the Colony Apartments.

The victim was not injured.

Both men were described as black men in their late teens to early 20s, approximately six feet tall, wearing hooded sweatshirts and jeans.
