1 arrested, 1 sought in attempted Surry Co. break-in

SURRY COUNTY, N.C. – A man accused of trying to break into a Surry County home turned himself in after officials said he saw his photos on the news.

Michael Andrew Burrow, 36, of Lexington, and Charles Edward Harris, 40, of Winston-Salem, have both been charged with breaking and entering.

Burrow was arrested and Harris is still sought, according to officials.

Deputies said the attempted break-in happened in the 800 block of Ararat Road on Monday.

The homeowner picked up an I-Pad and took photos of the suspects as they allegedly tried to force open an exterior door.

Authorities sent the photos to local media, which were shared with the public.
