CALIFORNIA — A golf instructor in California currently in jail for child sex abuse charges is facing new charges of plotting to kill the boys who accused him of the abuse, according to prosecutors.

Some of the boys involved were reportedly abused by the coach in North Carolina.

According to KTVU, Andrew Michael Nisbet, 32, has been charged with three felony counts for solicitation of murder. The district attorney’s investigator says Nisbet tried to hire a hit man from inside his jail cell.

Nisbet was arrested in December, accused of sexually abusing three boys in his golf program.

The alleged abuse expanded to other states, including North Carolina.

Nisbet coached a summer junior golf tournament in the Tar Heel state at a TPC golf course between 2008 and 2011.

On Tuesday, prosecutors added three new counts for solicitation of murder, which brings his total of felonies to 75.

Those charges include oral copulation with a minor, molestation, child pornography, and lewd acts on three unnamed boys who were between 12 and 17-years-old.

KTVU reported that the murder charges stemmed from letters Nisbet wrote in jail discussing a “murder-for-hire” plan and asking to have the victims “taken care of.”

Nisbet is scheduled to appear in court on June 10.
