‘Carving for the Cure’ kicks off in Colfax

COLFAX, N.C. — The chainsaws are roaring Thursday morning as the Annual Carving for the Cure competition is underway.

The event is taking place today-Saturday, at the Piedmont Triad Farmer’s Market off Sandy Ridge Road in Colfax.

    What’s your problem? It’s a fundraiser. Do you not get that? They are helping with finding a cure for cancer.

    The participants are volunteers from all over the country who come together to try to achieve a little good. Randy who got these carvers together with the sponsership of Joe’s Tractors lost his wife to cancer & our mom is 3 time survivor- so the cause is close to the heart!
