ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A man was charged Tuesday after officers say they found four pounds of marijuana in his vehicle on I-85, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials stopped Alfred Benjamin Morgan, 39, of Georgia, for a moving violation around 5 a.m.
Deputies discovered Morgan was operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and had three outstanding warrants.
Police searched his vehicle and say they found four pounds of high-grade marijuana in the trunk with a street value of $16,000.
Morgan was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no operator’s license and three counts of failure to appear for no operator’s license
Morgan was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $12,335. His first court appearance is set for May 1.
