GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police said a Caldwell Academy student in Greensboro was accidentally stabbed during a school play.

Greensboro police said they responded to the school at 2900 Horse Pen Creek Road around 10 p.m. Saturday in reference to the stabbing.

Officers said one student accidentally stabbed another cast member in the abdomen with a stage prop during a production of “The Three Musketeers.”

Police said the student was taken to Moses Cone Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries that did not require surgery.

Greensboro police said the stabbing was accidental and not an act of school violence. No charges were filed.

School officials said it was the final performance of the play.

Finally a school with common sense…It was an accident & no charges were filed…as it should be…With Zero tolerance policies at most school, the entire group would have probably been expelled &/or arrested.

Caldwell is a remarkable school and the students are remarkable as well. I can’t imagine any other response coming from the school than one like this. :)

Don’t know anything about the school except it location, but it does seem they have a brain and realize this was an accident.
    Glad the child will recover.
