THOMASVILLE, N.C. – Officials said two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash involving a truck and two cars Saturday morning in Thomasville.

Officials said it was reported shortly before 10:30 a.m. at Highway 109 South (Randolph Street) and Lambeth Road. Details on what caused the crash have not been released.

Authorities said that no one in the truck was injured, but the drivers of both cars were hospitalized. One of the drivers had to be airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

The names and conditions of the victims have not been released. Highway 109 has since been shut down in the area.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details were immediately available.
