The weather is going to be beautiful this weekend, and perfect for a picnic.

On the FOX8 Morning News, we announced some idyllic places across North Carolina that would be great for a family or romantic picnic.

These places are recommended by the folks at Our State Magazine.

NC Botanical Garden — Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill is about an hour’s drive from Greensboro. The botanical garden on the UNC campus is a perfect place to picnic. And it’s free.

Sarah P. Duke Gardens — Durham

No far from Chapel Hill are the Duke Gardens on the campus of Duke University. The gardens are open every day and more than 300,000 people visit each year. It’s free to picnic, but you have to pay to park.

Wing Haven Gardens — Charlotte

Head down south to Charlotte and you’ll find Wing Haven Gardens, which include two beautiful gardens for $8. Children under 18 are free.

Daniel Stow Botanical Garden — Belmont

These lush gardens are close to the South Carolina state line, but worth the drive. They are open 7 days a week and admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children.

For a list of all the gardens perfect for picnics across the state, visit Our State’s website.
