I was often disciplined with a belt as a child…but lacerations..multiple…to the temple? Yikes…poor child

I think a belt to the behind is needed from time to time, but if he was hitting the child with the belt in a way that it left lacerations anywhere, let alone the head, there was a major problem.

I was spanked with a belt and hickory limb off a tree and my parents were never arrested. 1950’s.

There is a huge difference in dicipline and abuse this poor child suffered abuse. I firmly believe in correction but a beating no. The bible tells us that a father or mother who doesn’t correct there child does not love them. It also tells us to train a child up in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart. We as parents should lead by example in front of our children ourselves and they will follow, just a thought. As for the step father i pray that god convicts his heart and deals with him on proper correction treatment for the future, God Bless
