Asheboro man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Police have arrested a man in connection with the sexual exploitation of a minor.

The arrest came after Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Task Force members viewed online files available on a file sharing network, open to the public, containing child pornography.

Jonathan Swiney, 34, of Asheboro was charged with one count of felony second degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Based on what was seen online, a search warrant was issued and served on the Swiney residence. Items seized consisted of three laptop computers and other electronic devices.

Swiney is confined in the Randolph County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

    I think it’s pretty pathetic that he only gets $50,000 bond!!! He better be glad that it wasn’t one of my children, I would be up for murder, and that is because I am a parent that loves her children more than life!!
