Suspect sought after woman robbed in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a woman Friday evening on Walker Avenue.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery from an individual around 8:20 p.m. in the 800 block of Walker Avenue.

The victim said she was walking along the street when she was approached by an individual who asked for directions, then produced a handgun and demanded money.

The victim complied and the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene in a white sedan.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 6’2″ and 160 pounds, wearing an athletic hat, dark hooded sweatshirt and shiny black pants at the time of the incident.

No injuries were reported.
