Second suspect arrested after man shot in Asheboro

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A second suspect was arrested Thursday after after a man was shot Wednesday evening in Asheboro.

Officers responded to the C-Store parking lot at 401 E. Salisbury St., around 5:40 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

Police found Rodericus Glover suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. Glover was transported by ambulance to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem with non-life threatening injuries.

Derrell Trevon Jones, 20, of Asheboro, was arrested Wednesday night after the incident. He is in the Randolph County Jail under a $500,000 bond.

Ondra Martenelli Gladden Jr., 19, of Asheboro, turned himself in to police on Thursday. He is in jail under a $250,000 bond.

Both Jones and Gladden are charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
