JACKSON, Mich. — A Michigan judge exploded at a convicted killer in court on Wednesday, shouting that he hopes she dies in prison. reported that 31-year-old Camia Gamet was given a life sentence Wednesday for the murder of her boyfriend Marcel Hill two years ago.

Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain said it was one of the worst cold-blooded murders he had ever seen.

At the sentencing, members of Hill’s family spoke and Gamet was seen rolling her eyes and snickering. Gamet even interrupted Hill’s aunt and said, “Is that it?”

That set off McBain.

“You’re going to shut your mouth or I’m going to have some duct tape put on it,” he said. “You were relentless. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed until he was dead.”

The judge continued.

“I hope you die in prison. If this was a death penalty state, you’d be getting the chair.”

Gamet’s defense team says she acted in self-defense. She plans to appeal to a higher court.

Wish more of them would let out their true feelings like this. If they would put more of this type away and give the death penalty more maybe some might not be so apt to do all these killings. Now most think I will just get a slap on the wrist, roof over my head, tv, weight room, a/c and heat, games, and fed 3 times a day for a few years and then let go.If they would give then longer sentences, go ahead and put to death the ones on death row and not give them so many pleasures and luxuries they might think a little more before doing the crime. It also would free up more rooms in jails and prisons for ones that they let go that should be in there as well. So many repeat offenders. Would save the states so much money as well. Why should we all keep paying to keep some of these people on death row that have taken a person or multi persons lives? Especailly when they are cold hearted and show no remorse.

I totally agree with this judge but even if he did have the death penalty at his exposure. She’d probably live longer than you and I. I say, Bring back the gallows and give you 2 months for your appeal and than if you’re still guilty. Let you hang until your feet stops kicking!

I say an eye for an eye. Whatever crime they are convicted of should be done to them. This would give the career criminal something to think about before committing a horrible crime.

I can understand how this judge burst out and emoted at this defendant but really inside chambers may have been an appropriate choice of locations. Come on judge rise up above the scum in your courtroom next time.

Not really. He spoke to the dirtbag in a way they understood…ok..she might not have understood all the English used, but at some point, all the pomp and BS in a courtroom should just get down to simple facts…she was mocking the court, and he had enough of her games. Nothing wrong with it. In fact, many DAs here in NC have been known to do worse in their opening statements.

If the convict had committed some mild breach of courtroom etiquette, then maybe addressing it in chambers would be appropriate…but behavior as egregious as hers called for the judge to address it, as many parents have said, “In front of God and everybody.”

why does our government waste taxpayers money on futile efforts.trials should last no more than 15 minutes.if you get should be exucuted the same day before much more help could be put to good use, instead WE spend it on scumbags and neer to do wells that are a drag on the rest of us law abiding citizens CHEER UP THINGS WILL GET WORSE..
