FANCY GAP, Va. — Traffic was backed up for miles on Interstate 77 Tuesday after high winds blew over two tractor-trailers about 30 minutes apart in the same spot at mile marker 3.
“[Wind] actually moved my car,” said driver Molly Prescott. “Very windy, you have to hold on to your stirring wheel or it would blow you away.”
The Highway Patrol says neither of the tractor-trailers were carrying loads, making them no match for the high wind gusts.
At one point traffic was backed up for more than six miles.
No injuries were reported.
