WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police have arrested a woman in connection with the hit and run Wednesday night that resulted in the death of a pedestrian after they were dragged three miles down multiple streets.

A warrant for arrest for 24-year-old Viola Demitria Spencer was obtained for destroying, altering, concealing or tampering with evidence and was served Friday.

Spencer is confined at the Forsyth County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.

An investigation is ongoing.

    This shit is unbelievable, I can’t understand this at all. John was a good man, my friend, my cousin and he didn’t deserve this brutal death. She new he was under that car and she will pay!!!!

    It saddens me that instead of offering sympathy to a grieving family so of us chose to attack and find fault.

    As a resident of winston salem I am completely embarrassed of my city and its not just this incident. The law really need to step it up before citizens start taking things into their own hands.
