GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Those wishing to cast a ballot in May’s primary election must register to vote by Friday – and this year the deadline is final.

There is no longer same-day registration at early voting, so anyone not registered by Friday, April 11 at 5 p.m. cannot vote on May 6.

Anyone who is already registered, registers by this date, or has a mailed registration postmarked by this date, will be eligible to vote on Election Day.

Registrations may be delivered to the Board of Elections office at either 301 W. Market St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401 or 325 E. Russell Ave., High Point, N.C. 27260.

Registrations may be mailed to P.O. Box 3427, Greensboro, N.C. 27402.

Photo identification is not required to vote in this election, but voters will be alerted that it is required for the 2016 elections and will be asked if they have acceptable identification.

If anyone has questions regarding registering to vote, or the registration process, please either visit, or call 641-3836.
