Raleigh police searching for escaped prisoner

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are searching for a prisoner who escaped from custody Saturday afternoon, according to WTVD-TV.

Kevin Terrell Jones, 27, was in the custody of the Wendell Police Department when he managed to break free and flee on foot, according to officials. He was reported missing in the vicinity of 3000 New Bern Avenue.

Jones was described as wearing a black and white striped shirt and light-colored blue jeans. He was last seen on Sunnybrook Road south of New Bern Avenue.

Jones is currently facing charges of involving a felony probation violation, an assault on a law enforcement officer, and resisting, delaying or obstructing a law enforcement officer.
