ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A Salisbury man who was recently released from a 19-year sentence in prison was arrested for indecent exposure at a library in Rowan County.
Deputies responded to the South Rowan branch of the Rowan Public Library in Landis around 11 a.m. Thursday, where a woman said a man exposed his private parts to her while she was checking out books.
When the woman complained to the suspect, he covered up.
Jeffery Wayne Massey, 41, of Salisbury, was then arrested and charged with indecent exposure.
Deputies discovered that Massey had just recently been released from prison, where he served a 19 year sentence for second degree murder.
Massey was given a $25,000 secured bond and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center.
