Yadkin Co. man accused of making meth at home, attempts to flee deputies

YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — A man was arrested after deputies say he fled the scene after they found equipment to make methamphetamine at his home in Hamptonville.

Deputies said they attempted to serve a search warrant to Marshall Freeman when they found the methamphetamine equipment at this home on Bethel Church Road.

Officers also uncovered items used in the manufacturing and production of methamphetamine along with marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

Freeman, 31, is charged with two counts of resisting, obstructing and delaying arrest, injury to real property, communicating threats, felony possession/distribution of methamphetamine precursor chemicals and felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.

Freeman is under a $30,000 secured bond at the Yadkin County Detention Center.
