FBI searching for alleged sexual predator known as ‘John Doe 28’
The FBI is seeking nationwide assistance in locating a man believed to be a sexual predator.
Recently, investigators enhanced photos of the “John Doe 28.” Officials hope new photos will help someone recognize the the man.
The images contain clues the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said could help the case.
“The video depicts the subject and the victim inside a residence with what appears to be a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on a wall in the background,” the FBI said in a statement. “The subject is wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy t-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on his left side.”
The video is just over two minutes long and was recovered during the arrest of a San Francisco man on child pornography charges.
“The video was part of his collection,” Jurden added, explaining that sexually explicit videos and images of children are often traded anonymously through online forums.
Investigators believe he is a white man in the 30s or 40s.
“The public is reminded no charges have been filed in this case and the pictured
individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law,” the FBI said.
