YADKINVILLE, N.C. — A man and his parents have been charged after police say they were involved in the burglary of multiple firearms earlier this year.
In January, several long guns were stolen from an unoccupied home in Yadkinville. The firearms were later discovered outside Yadkin County where they had been traded among convicted felons.
Charles Anthony Ballard, 42, of 1149 Myers Road, Yadkinville, is charged with the original burglary of the home and theft of firearms.
He faces felonious breaking and entering, possession of firearms by a felon and two counts of larceny of firearms.
His bond is set at $10,000.
Police say Ballard’s parents were also charged for their involvement in the burglary.
Hubert Jeffery Speaks, 56, and Veronica King Speaks, 59, both of 401 Cedar Street, Yadkinville, are each charged with two counts of felonious possession of stolen firearms.
They are each under a $2,500 bond.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
