LEXINGTON, N.C. — A 68-year-old Lexington man is facing several sex offense charges after deputies say he committed sex acts with a 5-year-old.

Isaac Duane Leftwich, 68, of Lexington, is charged with two counts of first degree sex offense with a child and one count of disseminating obscene material to a minor.

Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said they received information about alleged sexual abuse between Leftwich and the child.

Deputies say the abuse happened between June 2, 2013 and Dec. 31, 2013.

On Thursday, deputies searched the residence of Leftwich and arrested him. He was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Lexington District Court on April 22.

someone just needs to put a bullet between his eyes, and truth be known, the child was probably related to him too. Trash like this needs to be burnt

A victim of this horrible act myself the scars never heal. He will get a slap on the wrist and the child will never be the same!!!

Investigations take time. Unfortunately. They want to build a case and gather evidence before he knows he’s under investigation. That way, he thinks he’s getting away with it, but then come the handcuffs and a clanging door. He doesn’t have a chance to destroy evidence that way. Ours took 7 months. But he’s gone for life now.

Like I said before, castrate them all who are charged and convicted. Or shoot them in the groin and let them suffer just the way the victims suffer

Cat…you are SO right!! I’m. so sick and tired of hearing about these horrible people hurting defenseless kids. They don’t deserve a trial. This guy’s bond is $250,000. I saw an earlier story about some people evidently dealing hydrocodone…$5 million bond. Which crime do you think is the most egregious?

Dianne, I say the same thing all the time. Its like the court system only hands out harsh punishments if drugs are involved. I’ll never understand the logic behind it. This monster should not even be allowed the opportunity to post a bond. In my opinion there is no worser crime that could be committed than those against a child. I can say this though he will get some rough justice while in jail. To the one who says its not like that in jail you are so wrong. Even criminals ( most anyway) have morals.
