HIGH POINT, N.C. — There is still a lot of cleaning up to do along the Bicentennial Greenway.
The effects of the ice storm that slammed the area a few weeks ago can still be seen in places such as the section of the trail in the Rebecca Smothers Environmental Center. The trail is blocked by numerous fallen trees and limbs.
Some hikers are making the best of it, saying it is like a challenging obstacle course.
High Point, Guilford County and Greensboro maintain different segments of the trail. Guilford County crews hope to start clearing once crews finish with the county’s major parks.
