HIGH POINT, N.C. -- An accident involving a school bus was reported around 4 p.m. near the intersection of College Drive and Davis Avenue.

According to police, the North State van was headed north on College Drive. A minivan was headed south on College Drive and attempting to turn left on Davis Ave.

Police said the North State van was apparently going "too fast" and struck the minivan, causing the minivan to overturn.

There were several kids, a pregnant mom and a father inside the minivan. All victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

As officers were responding to the scene, a driver passing the scene struck a High Point police patrol car.

College Drive was closed for approximately 90 minutes and reopened around 5:30 p.m.

Let’s give the North State some credit, the accident was not their fault, the car made a left turn in front of them. A big thank you to the North State employees who have been repairing our phone lines and clearing trees for the last several weeks!
