GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Guilford County Schools (GCS) will dismiss two hours early on Monday.
Families should refer to their school’s closing-bell time to determine the exact time their child’s school will dismiss.
Central offices will close at 4 p.m. and Twilight School will be closed.
The early dismissal means all extracurricular activities and athletics practices and contests are cancelled, as well as the ACES after-school enrichment program.
GCS’s inclement-weather plan focuses on the safety of students and staff. The Piedmont Triad area is experiencing sleet and freezing rain this afternoon. District leaders want to ensure school buses are off the roads before conditions deteriorate.
Students will not have to make up this day.
