An adopted teenager had a touching on-air reunion with the news anchor who helped him find a family.

Gloria Campos hosted a weekly segment called “Wednesday’s Child” as part of the local Texas TV station WFAA.

During the weekly segment, she shared stories of more than 300 children and about 75 percent of them found adoptive families, according to ABC News.

Back in 2007, she shared the story of 8-year-old Ke’onte Cook. When his first adoption failed, she did another story on him in 2009.

Cook was adopted shortly after that broadcast. Cook, now 14, recently paid Campos an on-air visit to give her an emotional thank-you.
