More than 9,000 Duke Energy customers still without power across NC

Days after last week’s ice storm, more than 9,000 Duke Energy customers still don’t have power.

Duker Energy is working to restore the power as fast as they can. As of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Duke Energy website currently lists 9,006 customers in North Carolina without power.

This includes about 3,279 in Guilford County, 4,083 in Alamance County, 564 in Randolph County and 37 in Davidson County.

Garey Edwards, Utilities Director for the City of High Point, said there were about 1,200 outages among City of High Point customers on Monday. Most of the outages are on the west side of High Point. Edwards said it may be Tuesday before power is fully restored.

    help comes from other states to get power back on& they put the help out of motel for a basketball game . thanks for help (yea) some thanks!
